One continuous arc, hinged at the lobe so it swings. Flat from the front, a thin blade from the side, and different lengths depending on which way you are facing.
The piece
The hinge was the last thing resolved and the reason the piece exists. Everything else about it was decided years earlier; this shape only became possible once the joint was solved.
